THE DESIGN BUILD PROCESS SIMPLIFIED

We get to know you and you get to know us. Discovering your unique style and vision for your home is a critical step in our process. Together, we work to find the answers to your project’s biggest questions. With the guidance from your Project Developer and inspiration from your Designer, we work to create the home of your dreams within your budget. Then, our skilled Project Managers and Lead Carpenters provide you high-quality installation and service. You sit back and watch your dream come together. After all the work is completed, all that is left to do is enjoy your beautiful new space!

Step 1: Meet your Project Developer

  • Project Developer will meet in your home to learn about your project and discuss what you have decided your budget is.
  • Explanation of our process and scheduling goals are detailed by your Project Developer.
  • Begin to understand what The Cleary Company is all about: dedicated remodeling professionals that deliver high-quality design and construction.
  • If we are a good fit, enter into a Design Agreement by paying the design fee.

Step 2: Meet your Designer

  • Meet the Designer and Project Developer at your home for a detailed interview to discover your likes and dislikes about your home.
  • Pictures and measurements are taken to create As-Built drawings.
  • Easy and fun collaboration will be enabled through a Houzz Ideabook; We can help you set it up as needed!
  • Create the Design Schedule by setting the dates for all the subsequent meetings in the design process. So, have your family calendar handy!

Step 3: Design Presentation (2-4 Weeks)

  • Meet at The Cleary Company offices to review floor plans for your project.
  • Select your favorite floor plan!
  • Explore a variety of materials to begin the process of making product selections.

Step 4: Trade Partner Visit (2-4 weeks)

  • Project Developer and Estimator invite our Trade Partners to visit your home to ensure quote accuracy and build the project final cost.
  • Based on your choice of floor plans, the Designer continues to develop project overall design and create elevations and 3D renderings of the project’s details.
  • Designer makes product selection suggestions, furthering the overall direction of the project.

Step 5: Construction Contract (2-4 weeks)

  • Meet at The Cleary Company offices to review all project details and documents, drawings, selection suggestions and Scope of Work.
  • Review project budget number.
  • Decide on options that arise during development.
  • Sign contract!
  • Set remaining meeting dates to make and sign off on final selections.

Step 6: Selection Finalization (2-3 weeks)

  • Meet with Designer to sign off on all selections.
  • GET YOUR START DATE. Once the design process is complete, the official start date is set!

Step 7: OnSite PreConstruction Meeting (1-2 Weeks prior to Project Launch)

  • Your Project Developer will introduce you to your Project Manager and discuss project logistics.
  • Establish the communication plan with your Project Manager.
  • Create a plan regarding how your family will experience the remodeling work.
  • Get introduced to Buildertrend.
  • Clear out the areas in your home where work will happen.
